Inclusion And Support
Here at Intake Pre School we follow our fully inclusive practice policy and special educational needs policy which encompasses our vision as a pre school that is open to all regardless of any additional needs or disabilities.
Does your child have additional needs or a disability?
If so our SENDCo (special educational needs and disabilities co-ordinator) will work closely with you and your child to make sure that our setting provides the best inclusive practice in an engaging environment where your child will flourish and learn regardless of their additional need or disability.

The setting has a disabled toilet facility and no steps into the rooms making it wheelchair accessible.
If your child can only access activities at certain heights then this will be taken into account on the delivery of all activities so as to make it inclusive for your child as well as all other children.

As your child starts our pre school our SENDCo will meet with you to go through everything about your child and his/her needs and how we aim to meet these needs. We will work closely with you to ensure that your child is receiving continuous learning at home and pre school, to help assist this your child will have an 'Individual Plan' drawn up regularly. This details any recommendations of learning pathways that external agencies have advised would be of benefit or things they are working on with your child, we will then incorporate these into the setting. The 'Individual Plan' will be drawn up by our SENDCo and gone through with yourself so that you know exactly what we have noted as targets for your child and how we aim to meet these targets.

We work closely with all external agencies and welcome their valuable input through meetings and visits. Our staff are fully committed to inclusive practice and go on continuous training around various additional needs and disabilities. Some of the training our staff team have undergone is;
